At the reception, Robyn Mudie expressed her honor to commence the tenure as Australian Ambassador to Vietnam while expecting to promote the cooperation with Hanoi in organizing incoming events.
Underlining that the organization of the F1 Gand Prix in Hanoi is an impressive and significant event, the diplomat said that Australia’s Melbourne City has rich experience in hosting world-class prestigious events which could help Hanoi in organizing the F1 race.
Thus, she hoped that two sides will tighten the cooperation to make a successful tournament in Vietnam, contributing to promoting the bilateral relations.
For his part, Chairman of the Municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung said that the construction of the F1 racing track in Hanoi as well as preparations for the event have been implemented as scheduled, while appreciating the close cooperation and support of Australian partners, especially Australian Grand Prix Corporation.
The success of the tournament will be a symbol of the ties between Vietnam and Australia in general, Hanoi and Melbourne in particular in sports, economy, tourism and culture, he noted.
The Chairman took the occasion to congratulate Australian Ambassador Robyn Mudie on her new term in Vietnam.
He also wished that in her new position, the Ambassador will serve as a bridge to elevate the Vietnam - Australia ties to a new height as well as boost the stronger cooperation between Hanoi and Melbourne as well as other localities of Australia.
