Reports presented at the session showed that Party Committees, People’s Councils, People’s Committees and Fatherland Front Committees of four wards have attached importance to carrying out grassroots democracy regulations in association with “The year of administrative discipline”, “Improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the political system”, and “the year of Government mass mobilization”.
Furthermore, the wards have strictly worked out Ordinance 34 under diversified ways to create favorable conditions for local people’s inspection and supervision.
Ward Party Committees and People’s Committees have positively guided the implementation of grassroots democracy regulations associated with improving the operational quality of “One-stop-shop” services. Most administrative dossiers have been received and settled as scheduled.
Besides, the wards have reconciled hundreds of cases, contributing to maintaining political security, social order and security in the area.
Apart from the outcomes, the reports also pointed out shortcomings and weaknesses in implementing grassroots democracy regulations.
Making conclusion at the session, Head of the Municipal Party Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilization Nguyen Thi Tuyen appreciated the outcomes in executing grassroots democracy regulations in Hoan Kiem District.
Agreeing with shortcomings and weaknesses stated in the reports, Tuyen asked the wards to strengthen inspection of implementing grassroots democracy regulations; pay more attention to dealing with complaints and managing construction order.
She also requested Hoan Kiem District as well as the wards to enhance the communication to raise locals’ awareness on executing democracy regulations associated with fulfilling political missions.
Especially, the wards need to enhance administrative reform, create more favorable conditions for local residents, she noted.
