Hanoi, Da Nang set cooperative contents (21:38 21/07/2019)


HNP -  The Standing Commission of the Hanoi Party Committee in collaboration with the Standing Commission of the Da Nang City Party Committee on July 20 held a conference titled “Cooperation – Development” to review the cooperation outcomes between the two cities over the past time, and set up key cooperative contents in the time to come.


Hanoi presents financial support worth VND3 billion to the gratitude fund of Da Nang City.


The event was co-chaired by Hoang Trung Hai, Politburo member, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee and Head of the National Assembly deputy delegation of Hanoi, and Truong Quang Nghia, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly deputy delegation of Da Nang City.
 
In attendance, from Hanoi side, were Ngo Thi Thanh Hang, member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Secretary of Hanoi’s  Party Committee; Nguyen Duc Chung, member of the Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of Hanoi’s Party Committee, Chairman of the People’s Committee; Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Municipal People’s Council. 
 
Among Da Nang’s leaders attending the conference were Vo Cong Tri, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the city’s Party Committee; Huynh Duc Tho,  Deputy Secretary of the city’s Party Committee, Chairman of the People’s Committee.
 
Speaking at the conference, Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee Truong Quang Nghia affirmed that Hanoi and Da Nang hold many similarities to support each other in fulfilling political missions. 
 
With the spirit “Hanoi for the whole country, the whole country for Hanoi”, the capital city has always paid attention to carrying out cooperative programs, he added, and noting that the event is an opportunity for the two localities to foster their development as well as to realize directives and resolutions of the Central level.

Giving a report on the cooperation outcomes between the two cities over the past years, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Quoc Hung said that Hanoi and Da Nang have proactively rolled out a wide range of cooperation activities to support each other. Particularly, the two localities have shared more experiences in building the Party and political system via workshops held by the Central level.
 
Regarding socio-economic development, the two cities have deployed cooperative contents in fields of industry-trade, management of industrial clusters while calling on businesses to enhance supply-demand connectivity. As of 33 business delegations from Da Nang have joined in fairs in Hanoi.
 
Notably, Da Nang’s tourism sector signed a cooperation program on tourism development with provinces and cities throughout the country, including Hanoi for the period of 2016-2020, and jointly organized several events to promote the city’s tourism in Hanoi.

Appreciating the cooperation outcomes of the two cities, however, Hanoi and Da Nang agreed that the cooperation has been still not proportional with their potentials and advantages. 
 
At the conference, the two localities set up four cooperative content groups on building the Party and political system, and nine others on socio-economic development in the time to come. 
 
Accordingly, the two cities will intensify exchanges in enhancing the application of information technology, providing online public services, building e-government and smart city, piloting  new urban administration model, among others. 
 
According to Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung, the two cities are facing issues of common concern, especially challenges in construction, urban development, social security and order, crime combat, and environmental protection. 
 
Thus, the localities need to enhance exchanges in these fields to improve the efficiency in the management work, he urged.

He also underlined the need for the two cities to boost stronger ties in tourism development, including strengthening investment promotion activities, opening more tourist offices, and providing promotion programs, among others in an effort to create optimal conditions for tourists. 
 
Notably, Hanoi will support Da Nang in training professional athletes, and transferring scientific advances in health care, the Chairman noted.
 
Addressing the event, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Hoang Trung Hai lauded Da Nang’s breakthrough development recently.

He also agreed with the cooperative contents outlined at the conference.
 
Stressing the pressure of integration, globalization and urban development, he urged the two localities to bring into full play their important role for further cooperation.
 
Apart from building the Party and political system, the Hanoi and Da Nang should share experiences in planning, national security and defense, and crime combat.
 
On the occasion, Hanoi presented final support worth VND3 billion to the gratitude fund of Da Nang City.

Previously, the delegation of Hanoi led by Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee Hoang Trung Hai offered incense to express their gratitude to revolutionary predecessors and heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives to the national struggle for liberation and reunification at the Monument to Heroic Martyrs in Da Nang on the occasion of the 72nd anniversary of Vietnamese Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (July 27, 1947-2019).
