Expressing her delight at being hosted by Hanoi leader, the Chairwoman of the France-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentarians’ Group Stephanie Do appreciated the city’s strong development in recent years.
She also lauded the cooperation between Hanoi and France in various fields, namely, urban transport, environment, infrastructure development.
Many projects invested by French firms have been implemented in Hanoi, such as urban railway project (Route No. 3), international agricultural wholesale market, among others, she said.
For his part, Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung stressed that local residents were delighted at strong development of the Vietnam-France relations over the past time.
Notably, Hanoi has expanded the cooperation with France’s cities recently, he added.

Regarding the urban railway project (Line 3), the city leader said that the city authorities have always exchanged with the Embassy of France while striving to complete the first phase of the project and put it into operation in 2020.
In the time to come, Hanoi wishes to boost stronger ties with France’s localities in infrastructure development, socio-economic activities as well as intensify exchanges in development of entrepreneurship ecosystem, environmental pollution and waste treatment, he stressed.
Also, the Chairman wished Stephanie Do’s visit a success and expected that it will contribute to fostering the relations between Vietnam and France as well as the cooperation between Hanoi and French localities.
