At the reception, German Ambassador to Vietnam Christian Berger expressed his regret at ending his mission in Vietnam while affirming that he has worked with Hanoi to fulfill many important tasks during his tenure.
Briefing about a series of events held in Hanoi, such as German festival, LaJazzO’s performance in the pedestrian area near Hoan Kiem Lake, among others, the diplomat wished the city government to help his successor to complete assigned tasks.
For his part, Chairman of the Municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung appreciated contributions of Ambassador Christian Berger, and the German Embassy over the past time.
On behalf of the city’s authorities and people, the Chairman thanked the Ambassador for his role in establishing the cooperation between Germany’s localities and Hanoi, thus opening new opportunities for the city’s development.
The city leader hoped that in his new post, Mr. Christian Berger will continue working to tighten the Vietnam-Germany ties.
