Hanoi, Hung Yen boost cooperation in various fields (16:10 30/06/2019)


HNP - The Standing Board of the Hanoi Party Committee in collaboration with the Standing Board of the Hung Yen Province Party Committee on June 29 held a conference titled “Cooperation - Development” to assess the outcomes of the cooperation between the two localities over the past time, and set up cooperative contents in the coming time.

The event was co-chaired by Hoang Trung Hai, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly (NA) deputy delegation of Hanoi, and Do Tien Sy, member of the Party Central Committee (PCC), Secretary of the Party Committee, Head of the NA deputy delegation of Hung Yen.
 
In attendance were Ngo Thi Thanh Hang, PCC member, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee; Nguyen Duc Chung, PCC member, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, Chairman of the Municipal People’s Committee; Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Municipal People’s Council; Dao Duc Toan, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee; Nguyen Van Phong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, among others. 
 
In his opening speech, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Hoang Trung Hai appreciated Hung Yen’s positive changes in all fields, especially industrial development, making significant contribution to the Northern key economic region.
 
He stressed the conference’s importance, and noted that it is a chance for the two sides to review the cooperation, point out shortcomings so as to outline cooperative contents for fast and sustainable development.

Giving a report on the outcomes of the cooperation between Hanoi and Hung Yen, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Van Suu said that, over the past years, the two localities have effectively rolled out many cooperative contents in various fields. 

 

Particularly, Hanoi and Hung Yen have created optimal conditions for investors to seek ways to connect with supporting industry businesses, making contributions to socio-economic development of the two localities, while intensifying exchanges in trade promotion, market management and combatting smuggling and commercial fraud.

 

Notably, the two localities signed a coordination program on tourism development for the 2018-2020 period. Between 2015 and 2017, Hanoi and Hung Yen jointly held many conferences on building and developing tourism products. 
 
Hung Yen side has positively taken part in a wide range of activities to promote its culture and tourism in Hanoi, namely, Vietnam International Travel Mart (VITM) from 2013 to 2019, Ha Noi Traditional Craft Village Tourism Festival, among others. 
 
Also, both sides have boosted stronger ties in developing agriculture and building new-style rural areas while jointly dealing with common issues, such as environmental protection, labor and population management, social order and security. 
 
These outcomes have contributed to regional and national development, promoting socio-economic development, maintaining national security and defense and social welfare.

However, the cooperation between the two localities has been still disproportional with their potentials and advantages.
 
Thus, the two localities set up concrete cooperative contents in building the Party and political system and strengthening socio-economic development. 
 
Accordingly, Hanoi and Hung Yen will enhance experience exchanges in fields that Hanoi has strength, such as construction planning management, urban and smart city building, science and technology, e-Government, administrative reform, improvement of investment and business environment. 
 
Especially, the two localities will study more about policies and mechanisms to attract investments in developing industrial clusters and parks.

Addressing the event, Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung said that the two localities should enhance cooperation in farm produce consumption, traffic infrastructure development, healthcare, among others.
 
Expressing his sincere thanks to Hanoi authorities for their attention and cooperation, Secretary of the Hung Yen Province Party Committee Do Tien Sy stressed the importance of the cooperation with Hanoi in the province’s development over the past time. 
 
He wished both sides to early work out practical and effective cooperative contents.
 
On the occasion, Hanoi presented financial support worth VND3 billion to Hung Yen in fulfilling tasks of social welfare and poverty reduction.
