Steering Committee for Program 07 rolls out key missions in the remaining months of 2019 (09:16 29/06/2019)
The event was chaired by Hoang Trung Hai, Politburo member, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, Head of the Steering Committee for Program 07.
Ngo Thi Thanh Hang, member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, Vice Head of the Steering Committee for Program 07 was present at the conference.
At the conference, participants listened to a report on the outcomes of the anti-corruption work while discussing a number of issues in elaborating a project to enhance detection and treatment of harassment and red tape in providing public services for citizens.
The conference also focused on assessing the outcomes of implementing the city’s 13 topics as well as the results of handling corruption cases assigned by the National Steering Committee on Anti-Corruption, and the Standing Board of the Municipal Party Committee.
In the first half of 2019, the Municipal Party Committee, People’s Council and People’s Committee have effectively worked out guiding documents to implement the Central level’s instructions on anti-corruption work, thrift practice and wastefulness combat.
Particularly, the Steering Committee for Program 07 has executed a wide range of missions and solutions in working programs and plans, especially conclusions by inspection teams of the National Steering Committee on Anti-Corruption; strictly handled several serious corruption cases; seized corruption assets; enhanced administrative reform and regularly conducted inspection sessions to remove shortcomings and weaknesses in state management.
Additionally, the city’s specialized agencies have tightened the cooperation in detecting, investigating and handling corruption cases.
Making conclusion at the conference, Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee Hoang Trung Hai appreciated the achievements in carrying out Program 07 in the first half of the year.
He pointed out several weaknesses which need to be eliminated in the coming time.
In the second half of the year, the Secretary requested the Steering Committee for Program 07, levels, sectors and localities to focus on several missions, including effectively working out key tasks outlined by the Steering Committee for Program 07; realizing directives and resolutions of the Central level and the Municipal Party Committee on anti-corruption work and wastefulness combat; reviewing and fulfilling targets and goals in anti-corruption programs and plans; strengthening the communication to raise awareness and responsibility of all levels, sectors, officials, Party members and people on combating corruption.
He also underlined the need to combat fake information, praise individuals having great contributions to the fight against corruption, work out Directive No. 10-CT/TTg dated April 22, 2019 of the Prime Minister on “Strengthening effective management and prevention of harassment and red tape in providing public services for citizens”, and Official Letter No. 219-CV/BCDTW dated June 17 of the National Steering Committee on Anti-Corruption on reviewing and strictly handling negative behaviors in anti-corruption agencies.
Besides, it is necessary to review the five-years execution of Directive 33-CT/TW dated January 3, 2014 of the Politburo, Plan No. 115-KH/TU dated April 29, 2014 of the Standing Board of the Municipal Party Committee on enhancing the Party’s leadership in public servants’ asset declaration; assess the outcomes of the three-year implementation of Directive No. 50-CT/TW dated December 7, 2015 of the Politburo, Plan No. 09-KH/TU dated March 15, 2016 of the Municipal Party Committee on consolidating the Party’s leadership in detecting and handling corruption cases, among others.
