In the category for international individual competitors and two Vietnamese teams, the Organizing Board presented 101 medals and 14 prizes, including 52 medals for the Junior group (9 gold, 17 silver and 26 bronze medals), and 49 medals for the Senior group (8 gold, 15 silver and 26 bronze medals). In the competition for teams, the Chinese team was the champion in the Junior group while the Indonesia team came first in the Senior group. The Vietnamese won six gold medals.
Previously, in the category for domestic competitors, the Organizing Board also handed over a total of 300 medals and 16 prizes, with 155 medals for the Junior group (26 gold, 51 silver and 78 bronze medals), and 154 medals for the Senior group (24 gold, 49 silver and 72 bronze medals). Meanwhile, the Hai Phong team won the team titles of both the Junior and Senior groups.
Hanoi’s students brought home a total of 154 medals for both the Junior and Senior groups.
At the ceremony, the Organizing Board officially launched the 17th Hanoi Open Mathematics Competition.
