Key missions of communication and education sector in the second quarter of 2019 (18:56 07/04/2019)


HNP - The Hanoi Party Committee’s Commission for Communication and Education on April 4 held a conference to assess outcomes of the communication and education work in the first quarter, and work out key missions for the second quarter of the year. The event was chaired by Head of the Municipal Party Committee’s Commission for Communication and Education Nguyen Van Phong.

Since the beginning of the year, the communication and education sector has actively implemented tasks and gained the achievements. 
 
The Municipal Party Committee’s Commission for Communication and Education has proactively strengthened the communication on successfully organizing important celebrations as key missions of political security, socio-economic development and national defense. 
 
Besides, the commission has instructed press agencies to strengthen the communication on the Municipal Party Committee’s major tasks and working programs, and the city’s socio-economic achievements while organizing press conferences to give information of the city’s political missions, and concerned issues in fields of traffic, health, environmental sanitation, food safety, among others. 
 
Speaking at the conference, Head of the Municipal Commission for Communication and Education Nguyen Van Phong applauded the achievements.
 
He asked the sector to work with relevant units to organize a wide range of activities to mark important celebrations in the coming time, such as the 20th anniversary of Hanoi being recognized as a “City for Peace” by UNESCO; the 65th anniversary of the Capital’s liberation day; and 50 years of implementing Uncle Ho's Testament. 
 
Nguyen Van Phong urged the sector to continue carrying out Directive 05-CT/TW of the Politburo on promoting the learning and following Ho Chi Minh's thoughts, morals and style. 
 
Meanwhile, localities need to strictly review the five-year implementation of Resolution 33 of the Party Central Committee (tenure 11) on developing Vietnamese culture and people to meet the requirement of the country’s sustainable development”.
