The event saw the attendance of Dao Duc Toan, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee; Bui Tuan Quang, Deputy Head of the Central Party Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilization; Nguyen Lan Huong, Head of the Municipal Party Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilization, Chairwoman of the Municipal Fatherland Front Committee; and Nguyen Thi Tuyen, Chairwoman of the Municipal Confederation of Labour.
In response to the press contest on honoring outstanding examples in mass mobilization for the 2017-2020 period of the Central Party Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilization, the Hanoi Party Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilization on July 19, 2018 launched the contest which drew the participation of thousands of people.
The Organizing Board received a total of 3.487 entries. Most of them highlighted individuals and collectives who have gained outstanding achievements in mass mobilization movement in 2018.

Speaking at the awarding ceremony, Nguyen Lan Huong, Head of the Municipal Commission for Mass Mobilization and Chairwoman of the Municipal Fatherland Front Committee affirmed that the contest aims to improve the awareness and responsibility of the political system in the mass mobilization work.
The competition is a chance to honor outstanding collectives and individuals in mass mobilization; and promote the mass mobilization movements, contributing to actively working out programs and missions of socio-economic and cultural development, maintaining national security and defense and reinforcing the political system in the locality, she added.

On behalf of the Organizing Board, comrade Nguyen Lan Huong recognized and praised the achievements of localities and units in the mass mobilization work.
At the ceremony, a total of 10 prizes were granted to winners, including one first prize, two second prizes, three third prizes and four consolation prizes.
