According to a report, Ha Noi detected African swine fever virus in Ngoc Thuy Ward, Long Bien District.
The city’s agricultural sector has cooperated with units to take sample tests and destroy all dead pigs as regulated while synchronously taking measures to control ASFV outbreak.
Besides, the sector urged suburban districts to carry out Public Telegraph No. 08/CD-UBND dated February 22nd, 2019 of the People’s Committee Chairman; strengthen the popularization among local residents; implement specialized measures to curb the epidemic.
Accordingly, units have effectively implemented the inspection of transport, trade, slaughtering, especially importing pig products from provinces and cities to Ha Noi; strictly handled violation cases; launched environmental sanitation campaigns citywide; prepared enough materials, equipments for epidemic prevention; maintained telephone hotline number 024.33800115 to timely receive and settle feedback.
At the conference, the leader of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development also propose the city to call on the participation of the whole political system to put the disease under control.
Addressing the conference, Standing Vice Chairman of the Municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Van Suu asked localities to follow directions of the Central and the city; strengthen the popularization of epidemic prevention among local people.
He also requested functional units to enhance quarantine of pig products.
He noted that police forces need to tighten the cooperation with units to promote inspection in localities. Meanwhile, departments, sectors and district are in charge of providing specific information of the disease.
