The event saw the attendance of Lydienne Espoubé, Chairwoman of APF’s Women’s Parliamentary Network; Didier Berberat, Chairman of APF Education, Communication and Cultural Affairs Committee; Santi Bai Hanoomanjee, Chairwoman of the National Assembly of Mauritius.
The event also saw the attendance of Chairwoman of the National Assembly Committee for Social Affairs Nguyen Thuy Anh; Chairman of the National Assembly Committee for Culture, Education, Youth and Children Affairs Phan Thanh Binh.
Among Ha Noi’s leaders were Secretary of the Ha Noi Party Committee Hoang Trung Hai; Vice Chairman of the Municipal People’s Committee Le Hong Son; Vice Chairwoman of the Municipal People’s Council Phung Thi Hong Ha; and Vice Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee Duong Cao Thanh.
Addressing the meeting, Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee Hoang Trung Hai expressed his honor to welcome delegates attending the APF’s events held in Ha Noi from February 25th to 28th.
He stressed that the APF is a place gathering French-speaking parliamentarians with the goal of pushing governments to move forward with aspirations for global peace and stability.

Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee Hoang Trung Hai briefed the guests about the city’s typical features. Accordingly, Ha Noi accounts for 1% land area, 9% popularization, 13% GDP, 16.5% budget collection, 13.2% industrial production and 20% social investment of Viet Nam.
So far, the total number of tourists to Ha Noi has been about 26.4 million, up 10%, including six million foreign visitors, up 21.3%.
Besides, the city makes more effort to build smart city, and strengthen administrative reform, he added.
Considering French language and culture as apart of the city’s development, Secretary Hoang Trung Hai affirmed his support for activities to intensify exchanges and cooperation with French-speaking countries.
He also expressed his belief that after the two important events, the APF’s activities for gender equality and youth employment will contribute to realizing goals towards the sustainable development of the Francophone community.
On behalf of delegates, Chairman of the the APF’s Committee on Education, Communications and Culture, Didier Berberat thanked leaders of the National Assembly and Ha Noi for their warm welcome.
He applauded Viet Nam’s significant contributions to success of the APF’s meetings.
