Ha Noi to be ready to enhance cooperation with Finnish firms in smart city building (22:45 16/10/2018)
At the reception, Mr. Mika Lintila, Finnish Minister of Economic Affairs said that currently, countries have been facing climate changes, adding that smart city building is considered one of the best solutions to settle the matter.
He emphasized that many Finnish firms have had the capacity and technologies in fields of telecommunications infrastructure, energy and waste treatment which Ha Noi is interested in. Finish firms will be willing to share experiences in smart city building with Ha Noi’s enterprises, he affirmed.
The Minister also said that Finland and Ha Noi have much potential to enhance the cooperation in fields of smart city building and circulatory economy.

Expressing his thanks for the Finish Minister’s exchanges, Chairman Chung said that Ha Noi is one of the Viet Nam’s three cities which are joining the ASEAN Smart Cities Network.
With the popularization of nearly 10 million, the city targeted the smart city building by 2025, he added.
To get the above-mentioned target, Ha Noi has established the Steering Committee to digitize data as well as build smart cities, especially offer solutions for climate change adaptation.
Besides, the city has enhanced the digitization of all data, including popularization, land, administrative procedures, public health management, student management; strengthened IT application; installed monitoring systems to assess the quality of air and water; set up an IT business development strategy, he said.
The city leader expressed Ha Noi’s willingness to intensify exchanges and cooperation with Finish firms in developing infrastructure to serve smart city.
