Since the beginning of 2018, Viet Nam has recorded a total of 64,024 dengue fever cases and 11 fatalities; 53,529 HFM patients and 6 fatalities. Especially, the number of HFM, dengue fever posted a surge in Southern provinces. Meanwhile, nearly 1,000 measles cases and one fatality have been recorded in Hung Yen Province.

Besides, the city has recorded 64 cases of pertussis, 13 cases of streptococcus, 8 cases of Japanese encephalitis, 3 cases of rabies, 2 cases of meningitis and one case of typhoid. Besides, the health quarantine work has been implemented strictly as regulated to prevent the disease from entering Viet Nam.
