Ha Noi Secretary urges to open to traffic the An Duong overpass before October 10, 2018 (22:25 02/10/2018)
The trip saw the participation of member of Permanent Vice Chairman of the Municipal People’s Council Nguyen Ngoc Tuan, Vice Chairman of the Municipal People’s Committee Nguyen The Hung and leaders of departments, sectors and agencies.
The project includes the building of the overpass at the An Duong - Thanh Nien intersection and modifications to the structure of a section of the dyke.
With the total investment of VND 312 billion, the project was commenced in December 2017.
The representative of the contractors said that the building of the overpass and a section of Nghi Tam has faced many difficulties due to the high traffic flow, the influence of extreme weather and the effect of the 110kV electricity system.
It is expected that the overpass will open to traffic on October 7th.
After checking the work and listening to related units, Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee Hoang Trung Hai highly appreciated efforts and gained achievements of contractors over the past year.
He emphasized the importance of the project which will contribute to embellishing urban landscape and completing traffic infrastructure so as to connect the Noi Bai Airport to the inner city.
Thus, all levels, sectors, agencies and related units need to be well aware of the importance of the project and their responsibilities in an effort to complete the work as scheduled, he urged.
Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee Hoang Trung Hai urges contractors to speed up the work.
According to the Secretary, currently, the project is basically completed. He asked departments, sectors and units to focus on settling arising issues in order to ensure the quality and complete the project before October 10th, 2018 while ensuring the quality of the project and regulations on labour safety.
Secretary Hoang Trung Hai requested the city’s departments, sectors to pay special attention to managing traffic flows, installing traffic signs and bus stations so as to minimize traffic jams.
The Party Board of the Municipal People’s Committee should continue promoting the research and implementation of flyover projects so as to reduce traffic congestion and meet people’s travel demand, he noted.
