For nearly four years (1942-1945), the people in the Tram Long commune had given refuge and protected many high-ranking leaders of the Party, such as Truong Chinh, Hoang Van Thu, Hoang Quoc Viet, and Do Muoi.

On August 17, 1945, Comrade Do Muoi at Chong Temple called on the people to rise up and seize power in Ung Hoa District. A day later, the people of Tram Long Commune held a gathering to celebrate the victory of the uprising.

During the war against the French, the locals in Tram Long had shown unyielding fighting spirit to protect the stronghold and later contributed to the historical victory in Dien Bien Phu.

According to Mai, over the years, the Party committee and people at Tram Long commune have continued promoting the traditional values to overcome difficulties and gain significant achievements in various fields.

In 2019, Tram Long was qualified as the new rural-style rural area. Despite the severe Covid-19 impacts, in 2021,   Tram Long attained an economic growth of 5.6% year-on-year and a GRDP per capita of VND52.5 million; the poverty rate declined to 0.5%.

Authorized by the State President, Mai awarded Tram Long commune with the third class labor medal.

For the coming time, Mai called on Tram Long commune to continue stepping up socio-economic development to reach the goals stated in the resolution  of the commune’s 23rd Party congress.

With the solidarity and strong desire for prosperity, Mai expected the people in Tram Long would  reach new heights in the development process.
