Hanoi records five new COVID-19 cases in 24 hours (15:55 09/10/2021)


HNP - Hanoi confirmed five new COVID-19 cases between 6pm on October 6 and 6pm on October 7, according to the municipal Department of Health. 


The infections were detected in quarantined sites. Of them, three cases are linked to the outbreak in Vietnam-Germany Friendship Hospital. 
 
Since the four wave of COVID-19 hit the country on April 29, Hanoi has documented 4,026 COVID-19 cases, including 1,603 found in the community.
 
The number of cases in the new cluster at the Viet Duc Friendship Hospital has so far reached 43 since the first one was detected on September 30.
 
Local people are required  to strictly abide by the 5K message and countermeasures set by the Ministry of Health so as to stamp out the pandemic. 
 
Those showing symptoms of cough, sore throat, high body temperature, fatigue, reduction or loss of taste are required to contact with the nearest medical facility for COVID-19 testing to timely deter community transmission.
 
The city continues to respond to people's feedback about the pandemic prevention work via hotline number 1022, and  mobile apps like Zalo, Bluezone.
