Hanoi confirms a new COVID-19 local case (18:34 30/04/2021)

HNP - Hanoi’s Department of Health confirmed one new COVID-19 community transmission (tagged patient 2911) on April 29.

Patient 2911, a 28-year-old man in Hanoi, met and had a meal with patient 2899, a male migrant worker who returned from Japan, on April 22. He lives in Viet Hung Commune, Dong Anh District, Hanoi.
From April 24 to April 28, he had come into contact with at least 10 people, nine in Dong Anh District and one in Me Linh District. On April 29, he tested positive the same day.
The building where he lives has been locked down with 21 people inside.
*Previously, at the online meeting of the municipal Steering Committee for COVID-19 prevention and control on April 29, Vice Chairman Chu Xuan Dung briefed the participants on two people coming into contact with patient 2899.
He said that the pandemic situation is so complicated, and asking the city to raise COVID-19 alert to the highest level.
Dung also requested competent authorities to tighten the management of the move to Hanoi after the Reunification Day (April 30) and May 1 holiday.
All returnees to the city after the four-day holiday are required to make medical declaration.
