Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee and Deputy Head of the municipal Steering Committee Chu Xuan Dung attended the conference.
In order to effectively realize the program, the Steering Committee worked out an action plan which consists of 98 tasks, 18 targets, 2 thematic resolutions, 14 schemes and 12 projects, while increasing communication activities on major contents among departments, branches and districts.
Over the first six months, all-level authorities have comprehensively rolled out all tasks related to the program.
Special attention has paid to promoting the movement “All people stay united to build cultural life”, especially in the context of the COVID-19 outbreaks.
The city has kept an eye on the implementation of the codes of conduct in public places in association with maintaining the elegant style of Hanoians.
The quality of mass education as well as key education has been improved remarkably, thanks to the fundamental and comprehensive innovation in all-level education.
The city successfully organized the high-school entrance exam and the national high-school graduation exam amid the complicated evolution of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In addition, the Steering Committee has focused on the completion of a resolution on developing cultural industry in the capital for the 2021-2025 period, orientation to 2030 and vision to 2045”.
From January to June, three workshops were held to collect opinions from experts on the draft resolution, with the aims to turn the cultural industry into a key economic sector.
Along with the achievements obtained in the six-month period, Hanoi has faced many difficulties during the implementation of the program.
At the conference, the delegates discussed a number of key tasks for the remaining months of the years. Accordingly, the Steering Committee should focus on perfecting the draft resolution and submit it to the municipal People’s Committee, while serving as an advisory agency in carrying out the tasks relating to a resolution on developing cultural industry in Hanoi for the 2021-2025 period, orientation to 2030 and vision to 2045, among others.
Making conclusion at the conference, Deputy Secretary of the municipal Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong asked the Steering Committee to complete projects and plans to ensure the scheduled progress.
Highlighting the need of the program in promoting cultural development and improving the quality of human resources, Phong urged the city to work out human development plans for the city’s sustainable development.
