The event saw the attendance of Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists' Association Ho Quang Loi, Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Le Hong Son, and heads of departments and sector.
The Nguoi Ha Noi Newspaper was established under Decision No. 1322/TCCQ issued on May 8, 1985 by the Hanoi People’s Committee. Writer To Hoai was the first Editor-in-Chief of the newspaper. During the history, the newspaper has been also led by other famous artists, poets and journalists, such as Bang Viet, Phan Thi Thanh Nhan, Vu Quan Phuong, Nguyen Anh Bien and Ho Xuan Son, along with the collaboration of leading artists, including music composer Van Cao, poet Nguyen Dinh Thi, historian Tran Quoc Vuong and painter Bui Xuan Phai.
With the efforts of the newspaper’s editors and journalists, over the past 35 years, Nguoi Ha Noi has become familiar among the capital’s readers.
Addressing the celebration, Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Le Hong Son acknowledged and praised the newspaper’s significant contribution to the cause of construction and development of Hanoi.
According to him, the newspaper has successfully performed its task to disseminate traditional culture of Thang Long - Hanoi.
He expressed his belief that the newspapers will successfully fulfill its mission in spite of challenges arising during the development.
On the occasion, the newspaper was awarded the Third-Class Labor Medal for its contribution to the city’s achievements. Four outstanding individuals received certificates of merit from the Hanoi People’s Committee Chairman.
