According to Nguyen Thanh Ha, Director of the Huu Nghi General Hospital, the health center was established in 1958, and since then the hospital has been one of the leading medical facilities under the Ministry of Health, with the total of 918 patient beds.
It is responsible for caring for and protecting the health, providing medical examination and treatment services to mid and high-ranking officials of the Party and State, revolutionary veterans and people.
Over the past years, the hospital has enhanced the application of advanced technologies in medical examination and treatment.
In the context of the COVID-19 outbreak, the officials and health workers have exert every effort to fulfill their assigned missions, while effectively realizing the dual task of fighting the pandemic and ensuring safety for medical examination and treatment services.
Congratulating the medical staff on Vietnamese Doctors’ Day, Deputy Secretary of the municipal Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong lauded the hospital’s significant contribution to the city’s public health care.
Hanoi has basically put the COVID-19 pandemic under control, he stated, attributing the success to the effort made by health workers, including those of Huu Nghi Hospital.
Phong asked the hospital to promote its tradition and improve the quality of healthcare services.
