At the meeting, Director of Thanh Nhan Hospital Dao Quang Minh said the this is one of the five hospitals given the responsibility of treating suspected Covid-19 cases by the municipal Health Department.
To date, Thanh Nhan hospital has diagnosed over 10,860 cases and quarantined 762 suspected cases, and transferred eight Covid-19 patients to the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases in a safe and effective manner.
Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Vuong Dinh Hue congratulated medical workers and staffs of the Thanh Nhan hospital, as well as over 26,000 medical workers of Hanoi’s healthcare sector on the 66th anniversary of the Vietnam Doctors’ Day.
According to Hue, Thanh Nhan Hospital is one of the eight first category hospitals of Hanoi. Over the years, the hospital has gone through significant improvements in terms of infrastructure, equipment and the capabilities of medical staffs.
The Hanoi Party chief highly regarded effective anti-Covid-19 measures being implemented at the hospital, saying this is a key step to ensure safety for all staffs and families of patients.
Hue, however, warned the hospital to stay alert against the covid-19 pandemic, as well as be prepared in providing treatment for Covid-19 patients.
