Hanoi mayor monitors COVID-19 prevention work in Long Bien and Hoang Mai districts (12:12 20/02/2021)
According to Chairman of the Hoang Mai district People’s Committee Nguyen Minh Tam, the local authorities have closely followed the city’s instructions on COVID-19 response, while encouraging the participation of the entire political system in the fight.
The district has set up 178 community-based disease monitoring teams with a total of 1,436 members to review all returnees from COVID-19-hit regions. More than 3,800 people returning from Hai Duong provinces, including 250 from the province’s Cam Giang hotspot, have been identified so far.
Nguyen Duc Dung, head of the community-based disease monitoring team of the Linh Dam urban area, said that 78 returnees from Hai Duong city have made their Health declarations and are waiting for COVID-19 sampling.
Chairman Chu Ngoc Anh later checked the enforcement of COVID-19 prevention and control rules in Hoang Liet ward’s health station, the headquarters of the Bo De ward People’s Committee and Gia Lam bus station in Long Bien district.

The mayor recognized and praised the effort made by local task forces in preventing the spread of COVID-19, urging the localities to be on high alert.
Hanoi remains at high risk of COVID-19 infections due to the massive return to the capital city after Tet holiday, Anh stressed, ordering local authorities to closely supervise all people from concentrated quarantine establishments, and be ready to quickly respond to the difference development of the pandemic.
The task forces are required to strictly handle those who have made medical dishonest declarations and have not cooperated fully with the authorities.
