People’s Council of Chuong My District for tenure of 2021-2026 holds first meeting (09:56 22/06/2021)
At the meeting, Chairman of the district People Committee Nguyen Dinh Hoa, who is also the deputy head of the district Election Committee, gave a report on the outcomes of the election of deputies to the district’s 20th People’s Council and a report on verification of the eligibility of elected candidates to the council for the tenure of 2021-2026.
According to him, the general election in Chuong My district has ended in success as 99.28% of local voters went to the polls amid the serious COVID-19 situation.
Local voters have elected three deputies for the 15th National Assembly, three for the municipal People’s Council, 39 for the district People’s Council and 836 others for People’s Councils at communal level.
After the success of the general election, the local Election Committee has verified the eligibility of 39 elected candidates to the district’s 20th People’s Council, tenure of 2021-2026.

Speaking at the meeting, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Thi Tuyen recognized and praised the administration of Chuong My District for their effort in successfully hosting the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for 2021-2026 term.
She congratulated 39 candidates who were elected to the district People’s Council for the 2021-2026 term.
“The outcomes demonstrate the people’s unity and their high sense of responsibility in building the government” Tuyen stressed.
She urged the local authorities to stay united and try their best to realize the targets set for the 2021-2025 period, especially in the context of the complicated COVID-19 pandemic.
Especially, the meeting will select chairperson and vice chairpersons of the district People's Council and other key positions, the Party official said, urging the delegates to uphold their sense of responsibility and promote democracy to select officials to key positions in the local governing bodies.
Tuyen requested elected candidates to continue carrying out their action plans presented during the campaign, and making effort to accomplish their duties, meeting the voters' expectation.
The Deputy Secretary expressed her belief that the district’s 20th People’s Council, tenure of 2021 - 2026, will continue to change methodology in operation, and promote its role as the authority of State power in the locality, contributing to building Chuong My into a prosperous and civilized district.
At the meeting, Trinh Tien Tuong, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the district Party Committee, was elected as Chairman of the district People’s Council.
Nguyen Dinh Hoa, Deputy Secretary of the district Party Committee, became Chairman of the district People’s Committee.
On the occasion, the district authorities commended outstanding collectives and individuals in recognition of their contributions to the elections of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the tenure of 2021 - 2026.
