Monitoring preparations for the 10th-grade entrance examination in Dong Da district (19:40 08/06/2021)

HNP - An inspection delegation led by member of the Hanoi Party Committee’s Standing Commission and Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF)’s municipal Committee on June 7 inspected the work of COVID-19 prevention and control, and preparations for the high-school entrance exam in Son Tay town.

The delegation checks preparations for the 10th-grade entrance exam at the Son Tay High School.

Giving a report at the working session, Vice Chairman of the town People’s Committee Le Dai Thang said that Son Tay has so far recorded one COVID-19 case and three suspects. 
According to him, the task forces have traced 98 people who were exposed to COVID-19 patients, known as F1 cases, and 302 others in close contact with F1s, identified as F2 cases.
The town’s government has issued 52 guiding documents on urgent measures to prevent the spread of the novel virus. 
As many as 103 community-based COVID-19 prevention teams and 600 groups, with 1,817 members have been established. The teams have been in charge of monitoring enforcement of pandemic prevention regulations in the town.
Regarding preparations for the high-school entrance exam, the local leader said that Son Tay has a total of 1,961 students who have registered for the high-school entrance exam.
As of June 6, no students who have contracted COVD-19 or are classified as F1 and F2 contacts were reported in Son Tay town, he added.
Thang said that the town has made preparations for the upcoming admission exam in line with instructions by the Department of Education and Training, and regulations on COVID-19 prevention and control.

Making conclusion at the session, Chairwoman of the VFF’s Hanoi Committee Nguyen Lan Huong praised the town administration for their effort in preparing for the exam and containing the pandemic.
She urged the local authorities to continue applying stronger measures against COVID-19, at the same time strengthening communication under diversified ways to raise public awareness about the COVID-19 fighting effort.
Huong called for donations from businesses, organizations and residents to the COVID vaccine fund, contributing to reaching herd immunity.
In an effort to ensure safety for both the high-school entrance exam and the national high school exam, the Front official asked the local authorities to remain vigilant, double-check all preparatory work, and draw up detailed contingency plans.
She underlined the need to strictly implement stringent preventive measures against COVID-19 in all contest venues so as to ensure safety for students during examinations.
Acknowledging instructions of the delegation, Secretary of the Son Tay town Party Committee Pham Thi Thanh Mai pledged that the local government would try its best to successfully host the exams amid the on-going COVID-19 outbreak. 
Previously, the delegation inspected the COVID-19 prevention work at the Son Tay High School, an exam venue in the town.
