Politburo holds conference to discuss resolutions adopted at 5th plenum of 13th Party Central Committee (21:51 21/07/2022)


HNP - On July 21, the Politburo and the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat held a conference to discuss resolutions adopted at the 5th plenum of the 13th tenure Party Central Committee.    



The conference aims to take stock on the deployment of the contents of the documents at the 5th plenum of the 13th tenure Party Central Committee  by all levels, party organizations, cadres, and party members. On that basis, Party committees at all levels, departments, ministries, branches, and localities continue to thoroughly and propagate the contents widely among agencies, units, organizations, and people; develop action plans and programs to implement the resolutions that ensure practicality and effectiveness. This, in turn, would contribute to quickly putting the resolutions into practice and supporting socio-economic development.

According to the working program, on the morning of July 21, the delegates listened to a report from Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on the continuation of refining legal framework for greater efficiency in land use and management, creating momentum for Vietnam to become a high-income country; Politburo member, Head of the Central Economic Commission Tran Tuan Anh presented a report on agriculture, farmers and rural areas to 2030, vision to 2045.

On the afternoon of July 21, delegates would listen to the Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai on the topic of promoting the efficiency of the collective economy in the new period.

On the second working day (July 22), in the morning, the delegates will listen to Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, and Head of the Central Organizing Committee Truong Thi Mai on the topic of strengthening consolidation and building of grassroots party organizations and improving the quality of party members in the new period.

The national conference on the assimilation of the resolutions adopted at the 5th plenum of the 13th term of the Party Central Committee is a conference of great importance, which is expected to help the resolutions to be put into practice soon and contribute to Vietnam soon becoming in a developed country with a socialist orientation in the near future.

 Previously, the 5th Plenum of the 13th Central Committee took place from May 4 to 10, 2022, in Hanoi.

At this conference, the Central Committee discussed  many important issues such as: taking stock of the 10 years of implementation of the Resolution of the 6th Plenum of the 11th Central Committee on continuing to refine land policies and laws;  15 years of implementing the Resolution of the 7th Central Conference, on agriculture, farmers and rural areas;  20 years of implementation of the resolution of the 5th Central Committee on continuing to innovate, develop and improve the efficiency of the collective economy; project on building grassroots organizations of the Party and its members; a project to establish a provincial Steering Committee on anti-corruption; report on reviewing the leadership and direction of the Politburo and the Secretariat in 2021.

The conference highly agreed on the policy of establishing a provincial Steering Committee on anti-corruption, considering this   necessary, correct, and suitable  to the current situation. Meanwhile, the conference emphasized the urgency of developing agriculture and rural areas to improve the living standards of farmers and rural people. The conference noted this is the responsibility of the entire Party and people, and the central task of the whole political system.
