City official inspects COVID-19 prevention work and preparation for the 10th-grade entrance exam in Thanh Oai and Thanh Xuan districts (22:16 09/06/2021)
• In Thanh Oai district, as of June 8, the locality has completed all preparations for the 10th-grade entrance exam in the 2021-2022 school year.
The district has four contests venues totaling 106 rooms, namely, Thanh Oai A High School, Thanh Oai B High School, Nguyen Du High School and Phuong Trung Secondary School.
As many as 2,603 students have registered to take part in the exam. Of these, no students who are coronavirus carriers or are F1 and F2 contacts have been reported in the area.
In a bid to ensure safety during the exam, the local authorities have mapped out scenarios to respond to the evolution of the pandemic.
Making conclusion at the working session, Head of the municipal Party Committee’s Education and Communication Commission Bui Huyen Mai asked Thanh Oai district to raise COVID-19 prevention and control alert to the highest level and stay vigilant in the fight against the pandemic.
She requested all contest venues to make more thorough preparations for the exam in line with the law.
Mai noted, in order to successfully host the exam amid the on-going COVID-19 outbreak, the district should draw up contingency plans to deal with unexpected situations.
Stringent preventive measures against COVID-19 must be put in place in all contest venues so as to ensure safety for students during examinations.
Previously, members of the delegation attended the drill of the exam at Thanh Oai A High School. The venue has 21 rooms with 504 students.
• In Thanh Xuan district, there are five contest venues totaling 115 rooms with 2,611 students.

In a bid to ensure the best condition for the exam, the local authorities have so far mapped out plans to carry out all tasks relating to the exam in timely manner.
After listening to the district’s report, Head of the municipal Commission for Education and Communications Bui Huyen Mai urged the locality to focus on implementing five key tasks, among them, the district needs to stay vigilant and raise leaders’ responsibility for the fight against the pandemic in the area.
Thanh Xuan also should effectively rolled out plans to ensure security and order in contest venues as well as respond to arising problems during the exam.
