In 2021, Hanoi targets to welcome around 50% to 70% of the number of domestic tourists in 2019, while well preparing to serve international tourists once the border closure is lifted, Quyen stated.
In order to achieve the goal, the tourism sector should take effective measures, he ordered, describing the Hanoi Culture, Tourism and Gastronomy Festival 2021 as one of solutions to rehabilitate the tourism industry.
It is expected to provide the opportunity for Hanoi to make breakthroughs and strengthen cooperation between localities to create attractive tourism products to lure more visitors, the Vice Chairman stressed.
