Specifically, in the Ring Road 2 project which is 70% complete, the sections from Vinh Tuy bridge to Mai Dong bridge and from Nga Tu So to Nga Tu Vong have been finalized. Currently, contractors of the project of Ring Road 2 is rushing to complete the remaining work items.

Ring road 2 is a thoroughfare in the inner city of Hanoi with 43.6 km long, running through Vinh Tuy - Minh Khai - Dai La - Nga Tu Vong - Truong Chinh - Nga Tu So - Lang - Cau Giay - Buoi - Nhat Tan - Vinh Ngoc - Dong Hoi - Gia Lam underpass - Hanel industrial park - Vinh Tuy, forming a closed circle. After more than 4 years of construction, the elevated ring 2 section from Nga Tu So to Vinh Tuy bridge is almost complete and would be inaugurated in June 2023. The project has a total investment of nearly VND10 trillion, connecting three metropolitan districts including Dong Da, Thanh Xuan and Hai Ba Trung.
The section Nhon - Hanoi Station of the pilot urban railway project in Hanoi has a length of 12.5 km, including 8.5 km of elevated tracks and 4 km underground with a total investment of VND32.9 trillion.So far, the entire project has been 74.7% completed. The city is working with the investor to focus on completing all necessary works to put the project into commercial operation by the end of 2022, while continuing to handle problems to speed up the underground section.
Vinh Tuy bridge project (phase 2) whose execution started in January 2021 has a total investment of more than VND2.5 trillion. The bridge has a total length of more than 3.5 km. The first point intersects with Nguyen Khoai and Minh Khai streets, the end point connects with Long Bien - Thach Ban and Co Linh streets. So far, 37.5% of the investment capital in 2022 has been disbursed. The investor is focusing on speeding up the construction of bridge piers in the river bed, striving to complete it before this year's flood season.

Vinh Tuy Bridge phase 2, after coupling with Ring Road 2, will form a complete traffic axis from the center of Hanoi to the North and Northeast of the City, and at the same time will relieve traffic pressure on the key traffic routes of the capital, especially reducing vehicle traffic on Thanh Tri bridge and Ring Road 3. Hanoi expected the completion time of the whole project by June 2023. Once completed, Vinh Tuy 2 bridge would have 4 lanes of traffic in the direction from Hanoi downtown to Long Bien district.
“In order to meet the schedule and achieve the above workload, Vinh Tuy 2 bridge construction site has more than 500 staff, engineers and construction workers 24/24h”, said a representative of Hanoi Transport Construction Investment Project Management Board.
At Le Van Luong underpass project, Ho Duc Phuc, CEO of the project contractor consortium said: The project is divided into 3 phases. Phase 1 has now been completed, and phase 2 is about to be."

“By August 30, the whole construction will be completed. After that, the contractor will switch to construction of items such as lights, road markings, and traffic signs in order to inaugurate the work on October 10," Phuc said.
The construction of Le Van Luong underpass started in October 2020, with a total investment of nearly VND700 billion. The tunnel was built in the direction of Le Van Luong street, going underground through the intersection of Khuat Duy Tien - To Huu, with a total length of tunnel and ramps at both ends of 475m.
In the coming time, Hanoi’s leaders request all departments, units and localities to continue implementing solutions to accelerate disbursement of public investment capital; mobilize private capital for investment projects. In particular, the city would focus on speeding up the implementation of key projects to fulfill the socio-economic development goals and targets in 2022.
