Ha Dong District urged to accelerate mass COVID-19 testing and vaccination (12:17 11/09/2021)

HNP - Member of the Party Central Committee and Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Thi Tuyen had a working session with the command for COVID-19 prevention and control of Ha Dong District on September 9.

Joining the session were Standing Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Le Hong Son, and leaders of relevant departments and branches.

Paying a visit to a testing site set up at Phu La Primary School, Tuyen lauded the local authorities’ proactive deployment of the task.

Along with the support of doctors and medical staff from Hung Yen province, the district has mobilized all resources and taken advantage of the social distancing period to step up mass screening and vaccination in safe manner.

So far, nearly 100,000 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered. The district is striving to finish the campaign by September 16.

Ha Dong district, designated as red areas or zone 1, has kept the operation of 32 rapid response teams and 220 community-based COVID-19 groups to timely deal with the coronavirus outbreak in the area.

A total 60 COVID-19 checkpoints have been established to tighten the control of all entries so as to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus.

Tuyen told the COVID-19 situation is still complicated and unpredictable, asking Ha Dong district to strictly follow the PM’s directions and the city’s Directive 06-CT/TU on pandemic countermeasures.

She requested special attention from the local authorities to ensuring enforcement of social distancing measures in the area, and tightening control of travel permits during the period.

The district must work hard to conduct testing for 100% of local residents before September 12 in line with the municipal authorities’ guidelines to deter community transmission, she ordered.

She requested the district to better manage concentrated quarantine facilities to avoid cross infections, while making preparations for accelerating vaccination.

Ha Dong needs to strengthen communication to raise public awareness on the fight against COVID-19, enhance inspection on pandemic prevention and control work and punish violation cases, Tuyen noted, urging the local authorities to take care of and support those facing difficulties due to the pandemic.
