HNP - A working team led by Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Council Nguyen Ngoc Tuan on September 7 inspected COVID-19 prevention and control work in Thuong Tin District.

The delegation included Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Ha Minh Hai and leaders of relevant departments and agencies.

Paying a visit to a COVID-19 checkpoint at Quan Ganh bridge on Highway 1A, and others in Khanh Ha communes and Voi market, Tuan said that the enforcement forces have effectively implemented pandemic prevention and control measures.
He comforted the on-duty forces at the checkpoints, urging them to work hard to tightly control all entries.
Local authorities should tighten control of travel permits from 6am on September 8 to ensure strict implementation of social distancing measures, Tuan ordered, asking for more effort to speed up mass screenings in high risk areas.
At the working session with the Command for COVID-19 prevention and control of Thuong Tin district, Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Ha Minh Hai praised the local administration for mapping out a plan to contain the pandemic and boost economic development.
Ha requested special attention to ensuring the supply of food and essential goods during the social distancing period.
The district needs to better manage concentrated quarantine facilities to avoid cross infections, Ha ordered.
Lauding the district’s effort in curbing the spread of the pandemic, Chairman of the municipal People’s Council Nguyen Ngoc Tuan asked local authorities to mobilize people to engage in the fight against the novel coronavirus.
He requested Thuong Tin to continue carrying out the city’s Resolution No.15 and other guiding documents on COVID-19 countermeasures.
