The official directly checked observance of pandemic prevention and control protocol at Star Fashion Company Ltd. in Phu Nghia Industrial Park where a COVID-19 case was detected.
According to a brief report of Chuong My District, after the municipal authorities issued Directive No. 17/CT-UBND on July 23 on applying social distance measures in Hanoi under the Prime Minister’s Directive 16, the district People’s Committee set up the Command for COVID-19 prevention and control.
As of 15:00 on July 26, the district confirmed two coronavirus infection cases. A total of 61 F1s and 532 F2 contacts were traced and are now under quarantine in line the laws.
As cases of COVID-19 were detected, the task forces have cordoned off and disinfected virus-hit areas. As many as 302 had their samples collected for SAR-CoV-2 testing.
Checking the pandemic prevention work at the Star Fashion Company Ltd., Tuyen asked the district Steering Committee for COVID-19 prevention and control to take strong measures to prevent the spread of the virus.
“The functional forces should cooperate with the company to conduct testing for all F1 contacts, while asking workers to self-quarantine at home for 14 days”, she ordered.
Stressing that the pandemic is still complicated and unpredictable due to the rapid spread of the Delta variant, Tuyen requested the local administration to seriously follow the central and the city’s guiding documents, especially Directive 17 of the municipal government, making significant contribution to protect public health amid the on-going pandemic.
She also asked the local authorities to tighten the management of people returning from COVID-19-affected regions and take advantage of the "golden time" to curb the pandemic.
