Of the total, 699 cases were detected in the community, and 1,095 others in concentrated quarantine facilities and 72 in areas under lockdown.
Several districts have confirmed high number of infections daily, such as Hai Ba Trung with 241 cases, Hoan Kiem (189), Thanh Tri (174), Long Bien (131), Thuong Tin (114), Dong Da (105), Hoang Mai (103), Ha Dong (99).
Among the community acquired infection cases, 95 were found in Hai Ba Trung, 69 in Long Bien, 60 in Ba Dinh, 59 in Hoang Mai, 54 in Thanh Tri, 50 in Hoan Kiem, 39 in Dong Da, and 38 in Dong Anh.
Since the fourth wave of COVID-19 flared up in late April, Hanoi has documented 47,025 coronavirus carriers, including 16,800 detected in the community and 30,225 in quarantine establishments or blockaded areas.
