A report from Phuc Tho district People’s Committee noted as of April 27, the locality recorded eight Covid-19 infection cases. As of May 9, the district has set up a quarantine zone at Hiep Thuan village and maintains 14 checkpoints in the district.
Meanwhile, the local authorities also set up various plans to deal with any Covid-19 outbreak in the area.
Chairman of the Phuc Tho district People’s Council Doan Tuan Anh said despite serious Covid-19 situation, the district continues to prepare for the election, including the holding of meetings between voters and candidates under the virtual platform and using loudspeakers.
All 164 polling stations in the district have been ready for the elections, said Anh.
At Dong Da district, Secretary of the district Party Committee Dinh Truong Tho said the local authorities have completed the preparation process at 148 polling stations in accordance to the law.
Meanwhile, the Dong Da district has set up 61 check points at public places and supervise the public ‘s compliance to the measures against Covid-19.
Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Chu Ngoc Anh highlighted the efforts of both districts in Covid-19 fight and preparation for the upcoming elections, urging the two to ensure safety for the public during the election day.
