Hanoi ensures stable supply of essential goods amid COVID-19 pandemic (22:04 15/09/2021)


HNP – Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh chaired a teleconference on September 13 to discuss solutions to remove difficulties, promote circulation and consumption of agriculture products amid the COVID-19 pandemic.



From Hanoi, Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen and leaders of relevant departments and sectors attended the conference.
 
Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman Nguyen Manh Quyen said that although Hanoi has applied social distancing measures under the PM’s Directive 16 due to the complicated development of COVID-19, the municipal authorities have timely issued guiding documents to ensure  movement of farming products in the area.
 
In the coming time, in addition to implementing policies to support production, Hanoi would work hard to create favorable conditions for all vehicles transporting goods to travel conveniently in the area to avoid of supply chain disruptions, he stated.
 
Quyen affirmed that Hanoi would continue supporting provinces and cities in stimulating consumption of their farming products in the city.
 
According to the deputy mayor, a series of trade promotion programs will be held to enhance connection in trading goods with other localities.
 
The city also will help businesses access and take advantage of signed multilateral and bilateral Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) to maintain traditional markets and develop new markets for exports.
