Inspecting COVID-19 prevention work and preparation for the 10th-grade entrance exam in Hoai Duc district (22:15 09/06/2021)
Giving a report at the working session, Chairman of the district People’s Committee Nguyen Hoang Truong said that in an effort to protect people’s health, Party organizations and authorities at all levels have strictly carried out measures against the pandemic.
Since the latest wave of COVID-19 hit the country on April 27, no local coronavirus cases have been reported in the district.
The local task forces have conducted epidemiological investigation on those in close contact with coronavirus carriers. As of June 8, 20 cases have been put under quarantine at home for health monitoring.
In addition, community-based COVID-19 prevention teams have maintained their effective operation, with the aim to monitor the implementation of pandemic countermeasures in residential areas and businesses.
Special attention has been paid to detecting suspected cases and tracing all people returning to the district from virus-hit areas, and those at high risk of contracting COVID-19.
Competent authorities have punished 80 cases violating COVID-19 prevention and control regulations, with the total fine of VND128 million.
Regarding preparations for the high-school entrance exam, the authorities have issued guidelines on the prevention of the pandemic and ensuring safety during the exams.
Making conclusion at the session, Head of the municipal Party Committee’s Organization Commission Vu Duc Bao praised the district for its effort in fighting COVID-19 pandemic and preparing for the 10th-grade entrance exam in the 2021-2022 school year.
Saying that the district remains at high risk of COVID-19 spreading, he asked the local authorities to stay vigilant and monitor enforcement of coronavirus prevention measures in industrial clusters and parks.
Concerning the upcoming high-school entrance exam, Bao requested the district to double-check all preparations for the exam and map out detailed scenarios to respond to the different development of the pandemic and ensure safety for students.
Stringent preventive measures against COVID-19 should be put in place in all contest venues so as to ensure safety for students during examinations, he noted.
Bao also underscored the necessity to strictly abide by the message of the Ministry of Health the 5K (in Vietnamese) message of the Health Ministry which is Khau trang (facemask) - Khu khuan (disinfection) - Khoang cach (distance) - Khong tu tap (no gathering) - Khai bao y te (health declaration).
