Hanoi mayor receives outgoing US Ambassador to Vietnam (21:02 08/04/2021)

HNP - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee and Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Chu Ngoc Anh hosted a reception for outgoing US Ambassador to Vietnam Daniel J. Kritenbrink on April 8.

At the meeting, US Ambassador to Vietnam Daniel J. Kritenbrink thanked the municipal government for its support during his term. 
He also showed his satisfaction at the results that Vietnam and the US have achieved over the past time. 
Highlighting cooperative ties between the two sides, the diplomat said that the successful organization of the 2019 North Korea-United States Hanoi Summit has significantly contributed to boosting bilateral relations. It is a chance to introduce Hanoi among international friends. 
Recently, Hanoi has donated medical supplies and face masks to the American people to support COVID-19 fight, the move the outgoing ambassador described as a tremendous show of solidarity and support from.
For his part, Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Chu Ngoc Anh congratulated the ambassador on his successful term in Vietnam. 
He praised Kritenbrink for his contributions to strengthening the friendship between Vietnam and the US as well as the two countries’ cities. 
The mayor hoped that the diplomat will continue to support and promote cooperation between Hanoi and US partners.
