Minister of Public Security and Hanoi’s mayor visit families of officers killed in blaze (19:33 03/08/2022)
The minister expressed his sympathy at the sacrifice of three officers Colonel Dang Anh Quan (Captain of the Fire Prevention and Control Team- Cau Giay District Police); Senior Lieutenant Do Duc Viet (officer of the Fire Prevention and Control Team- Cau Giay District Police); Corporal Nguyen Dinh Phuc (non-commissioned officer of the the Fire Prevention and Control Team- Cau Giay District Police), and comforted the families who are trying their best to overcome this immense pain and loss.
To Lam requested the Hanoi Party Committee, People's Committee and Ministry of Public Security to pay attention and create favorable conditions to help the officers' families overcome difficulties, soon stabilize their lives, and have appropriate and timely policies for firefighters. The Minister of Public Security also directed related agencies to urgently investigate and determine the cause of the fire, and strictly handle violations in accordance with the law.
Expressing condolences and gratitude to the officers who died on the mission, protecting the safety of the people of the city, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh requested the People's Committee of districts: Cau Giay, Ha Dong, Dong Da, and the City Police, to advise the City People's Committee on policies towards the dead officers and their families. Thanh also said that the city will make every effort to support their families.
Representatives of the officers' relatives expressed their gratitude for the attention of the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, the City Party Committee, the People's Council and the People's Committee of Hanoi for timely sharing with the family's pain and loss.
Previously, at 13h06, on August 1, 2022, receiving news that there was a fire at number 231, Quan Hoa street (Cau Giay district), the City Police Command Center dispatched the Fire Prevention and Fighting Police Team to the scene. In the process of extinguishing the blaze, three officers of the Fire Prevention and Fighting Police Team (Cau Giay District Police) died.
* On August 2, Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh signed Decision No. 2674/QD-UBND on posthumously awarding Certificates of Merit to three individuals who have made extraordinary and outstanding achievements in firefighting and rescue in Quan Hoa ward, Cau Giay district, Hanoi.
Those were the comrades: Colonel Dang Anh Quan, Captain of the Police Team for Fire Prevention, Fighting and Rescue, Police of Cau Giay District; Senior Lieutenant Do Duc Viet, Police Team of Fire Prevention, Fighting and Rescue, Police of Cau Giay District; Corporal Nguyen Dinh Phuc, non-commissioned officer, Police Team of Fire Prevention, Fighting and Rescue, Cau Giay District Police. The bonus level for each individual is VND20 million, according to the provisions in Section 8, Table 1, Appendix 4 issued together with Resolution No. 03/2020/NQ-HDND dated 7/7/2020 of the City People's Council. The prize money is sourced from the City's Emulation and Commendation Fund and transferred to the account of the City Police for implementation.
