Hanoi Party chief asks for stronger communication on COVID-19 prevention measures (07:49 06/05/2021)
According to a report of Hanoi’s Department of Health, Hanoi has recorded five new COVID-19 community cases since April 29.
Over the past days, the city has taken various measures to fight the pandemic. Some working teams have been established to monitor the enforcement of COVID-19 prevention regulations in localities.
Concerning the coronavirus situation in Hanoi, Secretary of the municipal Party Committee Dinh Tien Dung asked the city to give high priority to stronger communication to raise public awareness about preventive measures.
He requested for tough fines for those who violate COVID-19 prevention rules.
More effort should be made to conduct aggressively contact tracing, and strictly handle illegal immigration to curb the spread of the virus, he ordered.
The Hanoi Party chief also urged 15 working teams to enhance COVID-19 inspection.
