Hanoi Party official checks electoral preparations in Thanh Oai district (08:02 15/05/2021)

HNP - A delegation of Hanoi led by Nguyen Van Phong, Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee and Head of the municipal Steering Committee for rolling out the Directive No. 15-CT/TU and Resolution No. 15-NQ/TU, had a working session with the Party Committee of Thanh Oai district on May 13 on preparations for the election of deputies to the 15th  National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for 2021-2026 tenure.

Joining the delegation were Head of the municipal Party Committee’s Communication and Education Commission Bui Huyen Mai, and leaders of relevant departments and sectors.
According to a report of the district Party Committee, Thanh Oai has effectively realized the municipal Party Committee’s Directive No. 15-CT/TU dated December 16, 2016 on strengthening the Party’s leadership in citizen reception and settlement of complaints and denunciations in Hanoi; and Resolution No. 15-NQ/TU  dated July 7, 2017 on building pure and strong Party organizations and dealing with concerned issues related to political security and social order in communes and towns throughout the city.
The local authorities have paid special attention to understanding the mind of Party officials, members and people, and settling arising problems in the area.
As of May 13, the district recorded one case of COVID-19 in Thanh Ha urban area. A total of 22 people in exposed to the confirmed case (called F1) and 97 others in close contact with F1 (F2) have been traced. 
Due to the complicated situation of the pandemic, the district established 894 COVID-19 community teams, with 2,162 members, to check enforcement of COVID-19 prevention regulations in villages and residential groups.
The local government has built scenarios to respond to the different development of the novel virus and ensure the success of the upcoming elections.
Concluding the working session, Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong highly spoke of the district’s effort in preventing the spread of COVID-19 and preparing for the elections.
Stressing Thanh Oai is at high risk of coronavirus infections due to the complicated evolution of the pandemic, he asked the local authorities to be on high alert in COVID-19 prevention and control.
He ordered stronger communication to encourage local residents to abide by preventive measures, especially the message of the Ministry of Health featuring 5K (in Vietnamese):  Khau trang (facemask) - Khu khuan (disinfection) - Khoang cach (distance) - Khong tu tap (no gathering) - Khai bao y te (health declaration). 
In addition, Thanh Oai needs to promote the role of COVID-19 inspection groups, and elaborate scenarios to respond the different development of the pandemic, the Party official noted.
Concerning the elections, Phong urged local Party organization and authorities to work hard to successfully host the events.
