Hanoi Party chief visits Center for Nurturing and Nursing People with Merit No. 2 (20:51 20/07/2022)
The Hanoi Nursing Home for People with meritorious services No. 2 performs the function and task of caring for Vietnamese heroic mothers, relatives of war martyrs and people with meritorious services who live in extremely difficult circumstances; organize rotational nursing for people with meritorious services to the revolution in Hanoi city according to the plan of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs.
Since 1994, the Center has taken care of 115 people with meritorious services; currently, the Center is giving care to 42 people, of them four are martyrs' mothers, 26 are martyrs' widows, 01 is wounded soldiers, 08 are martyrs' children and 03 have meritorious services. In addition, the Center has organized nursing rotation for 2,000 to 2,500 people.
At the Center, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Dinh Tien Dung said that the city has a large number of people with meritorious services, accounting for 10% of the total in Vietnam. Over the years, Hanoi has always born in mind that taking care of wounded soldiers, martyrs' families and people with meritorious services to the revolution is a noble task, and it must be done with deep affection and gratitude.
The city’s Party chief referred to Uncle Ho's teachings that it is the duty of the city to be grateful, to love and to help invalids and families of martyrs that who laid down their life for the country. He urged the local authorities to strictly and properly implement policies towards people with meritorious services; pay attention to improving the quality of foster care, step by step improve the material and spiritual life of people with meritorious services.
Dung stated that the Resolution of the 17th Congress of the City Party Committee stated that "Good implementation of policies towards people with meritorious services" is the responsibility and regular work of the Party Committee. In the coming time, the Party Committee, Government and people of Hanoi will continue to focus on doing the work of repaying gratitude better, taking even better care of people with meritorious services.
Recognizing and appreciating the collective efforts of the staff of the Nursing Home for People with Merit No. 2 in Hanoi, and at the same time, agreeing with three proposals and recommendations of the Center, the Secretary of the City Party Committee Dinh Tien Dung tasked all related agencies with ensuring the best conditions for of people with merits.
* Also this morning, Secretary of the City Party Committee Dinh Tien Dung, along with the city delegation, visited and presented gifts to two families on welfare in Ung Hoa district, namely the family of Nguyen Xuan Tien (born in 1936, war invalid) and the family of Mr. Do Thi My (born in 1922, mother of Martyr Nguyen Dinh Quang) living in Thuong hamlet, Vien Noi commune.
