Hanoi mayor checks preparations for the 10th-grade entrance examination in Dong Da district (19:41 08/06/2021)
Before working with the government of Dong Da district, the delegation checked the preparatory work for the upcoming admission exam at the Kim Lien High School, one of seven contest venues in the district.
At the working session with the district administration, Secretary of the local Party Committee Dinh Truong Tho said that Dong Da has regarded the fight against the pandemic as an urgent and key mission.
According to him, the district has mobilized the entire political system, armed forces and residents to join the effort to stamp out the virus, enhance socio-economic development and maintain social security and order.
Since May 25, the local authorities have put virus-hit areas under blockade, with the total of 361 people.
Previously, the district shuttered bars, karaoke parlors and online game centers from April 30. All 76 relic sites were required to cease their operations in order to limit the spread of the novel coronavirus.
Since April 27, the district police in collaboration with functional forces has handled cases violating COVID-19 prevention rules, with the total fine of more than VND770 million.
Regarding preparations for the high-school entrance exam, the authorities have issued guidelines on the prevention of the pandemic and ensuring safety during the exams.
As June 4, there were no students who are coronavirus carriers or are classified as F1 and F2 contacts in Dong Da district. Only one student is in medical isolation and blockade area.
The Department of Education and Training checked all preparatory work for the examination at seven contest venues in Dong Da district, concluding Le Quy Don High School, Kim Lien High School, Dong Da High School, Quang Trung High School, Phan Huy Chu High School, Nguyen Truong To High School and Thai Thinh High School.
Making conclusion at the session, Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Chu Ngoc Anh highlighted the district’s comprehensive scenarios to respond the five-level development of the pandemic and strengthen socio-economic development.
He asked for utmost effort from the local administration to repel the pandemic and successfully hold the 10th-grade entrance exam.

Dong Da needs to stay vigilant and continue strong measures to combat the novel virus and boost socio-economic recovery, Mr. Anh ordered.
He also noted that stringent preventive measures against COVID-19 should be put in place in all contest venues so as to ensure safety for students during examinations.
