From 5.30 a.m of the same day, all three facilities under the K Hospital have been put under temporary isolation to aid the Covid-19 fight, after 10 Covid-19 cases were identified at the Tan Trieu facility.
At the hospital, the city’s mayor and the delegation pointed some shortcomings during the isolation process and requested stricter compliance to regulations against the Covid-19 pandemic.
Meanwhile, Thanh Tri district People’s Committee urged related authorities to enforce the closure of all restaurants and coffee stores surrounding the hospital.
With around 5,000 people under isolations at all three facilities of the K Hospital, Chairman Anh requested all relevant staffs to strictly follow requirements for the Covid-19 fight, adding the city will provide full support for the hospital in this regard.
For the time being, Thanh Tri district People’s Committee is tasked with maintaining frequent communication channel with the hospital to provide food and basic necessities for those under isolation.
Meanwhile, Anh noted despite the severe Covid-19 situation, the city has mobilized efforts from the entire political system and the participation of the public on the fight against the pandemic.
In the coming time, the city would continue to tighten supervision efforts at quarantine zones to prevent potential spread of the pandemic to the community, as well as to realize the dual target of both containing the pandemic and boosting economic recovery.
Anh urged the public to refrain from going outside and participating in mass gathering to protect the community.
