At the meeting, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Dinh Tien Dung said while the Covid-19 situation remains a concern, the city would continue to ensure the realization of the twin targets of both containing the pandemic and boosting economic recovery.
As such, the priority would be given to carrying out the task assigned by the Prime Minister in upgrading the inter-provincial transport infrastructure, which would serve as a driving force for growth of Hanoi and Northern key economic zone.
Under this context, the construction of Road Belt No.4 is necessary to address the traffic congestion and also open up the room to enhance trade and linkage between cities/province, including Hanoi, Hung Yen, Bac Ninh, Vinh Phuc and Bac Giang.
The Road Belt No.4 project was approved by Prime Minister under the detailed master plan in 2011 with a total length of 98 kilometers crossing 14 districts of 3 provinces, namely Hanoi, Hung Yen and Bac Ninh.
The investment capital for the project is estimated at around VND105-135 trillion, while the compensation cost for site clearance is around VND25 trillion, in which VND16 trillion would be allocated for Hanoi, VND3.5 trillion for Hung Yen and VND5.5 trillion for Bac Ninh.
