Associate Professor Dr. Tran Danh Cuong, the Director of the National Hospital of Obstetrics and Gynecology, provided information about the hospital's operations, stating that it consists of a total of 39 departments, divisions, centers, and affiliated units with 1,516 staff members. The hospital is located on a 1.37-hectare plot at 43 Trang Thi in Hoan Kiem district and has 885 beds spread across seven buildings. Recently, construction began on a second facility with 300 beds on a 6.2-hectare plot in Ngoc My commune, Quoc Oai district.

Despite facing various difficulties, the hospital has achieved remarkable success and maintained its position as a specialized, first-class hospital in the field of obstetrics and gynecology. The hospital's employees have been well taken care of, with no salary debts or shortages.

The hospital has also implemented five new techniques for diagnosing and treating patients, resulting in positive outcomes, increased prestige, and enhanced patient satisfaction. Its notable successes include the successful care of premature twins born at 25 weeks (weighing only 0.5kg/baby), and the successful treatment of a pregnant woman with uterine rupture at 26 weeks, allowing her to carry the baby until the 38th week with a weight of 2.8kg.
