Hanoi confirms 250 new COVID-19 infections on November 23 (18:41 24/11/2021)

HNP - The capital city of Hanoi confirmed 250 new COVID-19 infections from 6 p.m. on November 22 to 6 p.m. on November 23, according to the municipal Department of Health.

Out of the total, ninety-five cases were detected in the community, and 111 others in concentrated quarantine facilities and 44 in areas under lockdown.
The new infections were reported in 27 districts, including Hoang Mai (42), Nam Tu Liem (35), Ba Dinh (27), Quoc Oai (18), Hai Ba Trung (17), Chuong My (11), Long bien (11), Thanh Xuan (9), Thuong Tin (9), Ha Dong (9), Me Linh (7), Dong Anh (7), Thanh tri (6), Thach That (6), Dong Da (6), Cau Giay (5), Gia Lam (5), Thanh Oai (4), Tay Ho (4), Hoan Kiem (3), Phu Xuyen (2), My Duc (2), Dan Phuong (1), Long bien (1), Ung Hoa (1), Hoai Duc (1) and Bac Tu Liem (1).
Among the community-acquired cases, fifty-five were  exposed to confirmed coronavirus carriers; thirty six are detected through community screening; three are returnees from virus-hit localities; one is linked to the cluster in Nam Tu Liem's Phu Do ward.
Since the fourth wave of COVID-19 flared up in late April, Hanoi has recorded 8,262 coronavirus carriers, including 3,045 detected in the community and 5,217 in quarantine establishments or blockaded areas.
Local people are required to strictly abide by the 5K message and countermeasures set by the Ministry of Health so as to soon stamp out the pandemic.
Those showing symptoms of cough, sore throat, high body temperature, fatigue, reduction or loss of taste are required to contact with the nearest medical facility for COVID-19 testing to timely deter community transmission.
