Hanoi discusses anti-Covid-19 measures (08:31 09/05/2021)

HNP - Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Chu Xuan Dung on May 7 held an online meeting with related departments, and units to discuss effective measures against the Covid-19 pandemic.

Reporting on two Covid-19 cases at Thuong Tin district, local authority said 139 out of 184 people having direct contact with these two cases were put into isolation. 
On May 7, Hanoi Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) informed an addition of 7 cases being family members of the first two cases. 
On the same day, the district cooperated with CDC to put three locations, namely Cuu Duong, An Vien and Dong Vien villages with a total of 6,000 people under lockdown. 
At the K Hospital in Tan Trieu commune, representative of Thanh Tri district said as of May 7, the process of testing hospital staffs and patients are still ongoing. So far, the hospital has 2,000 doctors and staffs, 1,000 patients and 900 family members. 
At the Outpatient Department, there have been 102 Covid-19 cases being patients and 30 being medical staffs. 
Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Chu Xuan Dung requested stricter measures to prevent Covid-19 outbreak at quarantine zones, urging local authorities to timely arrest illegal immigrants. 
In addition to local transmission with cases from quarantine zones, hospital has also become infection clusters, as such, Dung requested health facilities to strictly comply with anti-Covid-19 measures. 
Hanoi continues to allow restaurants and stores to open, but they have to fully comply with anti-pandemic measures, but warning strict punishment would be applied to those violating laws.
