According to Tuan, over the past time, the city’s police forces have focused on taking effective measures to learn about the situation, timely foil all conspiracy and sabotage activities of hostile forces.
More efforts have been made to ensure absolute safety for activities of the Party and State leaders and Hanoi on the National Reunification Day (April 30) and May Day holidays as well as political and cultural events in the city.
The department also directed the forces to ensure social security during the meetings between the nominated candidates for the National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels, and build up plans to maintain safety for the upcoming election, which is scheduled to take place on May 23, 2021.
In the coming time, the police will step up the building of the national population database and chip-embedded ID card issuance and management projects in the city, while increasing patrols to ensure smooth traffic for travelers before, during and after the upcoming holidays.
In a bid to ensure the success of the upcoming election, the department mobilizes teams to ensure traffic order and safety and sets up plans to maintain safety for the event.
Additionally, the police will work with the health sector and relevant units to better implement COVID-19 prevention and control regulations.
Special attention will be paid to strengthening inspections to prevent illegal entrance, and launching more campaigns to fight crimes and individuals involved in unlawful immigration activities, contributing to the COVID-19 effort as well as the success of the upcoming election.
