Hanoi Mayor receives Denmark Ambassador (22/09/2022)
HNP - On September 21, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh received Nicolai Prytz - Danish Ambassador to Vietnam.
Thanking the warm welcome of the leaders of Hanoi, Ambassador Nicolai Prytz expressed his delight at the long-standing relationship between Vietnam and Denmark - with positive achievements contributing to the development of the two countries in recent years.
Referring to the 50th anniversary of the relationship between the two countries (November 25, 1971 - November 25, 2021), the Ambassador said that in November this year, a visit to Vietnam by the Crown Prince of Denmark will take place, along with a delegation of Danish officials on climate, energy and businesses.
With this important event, Ambassador Nicolai Prytz wishes to receive the support of the Hanoi government as well as for the upcoming cooperation activities between Denmark and Vietnam in the capital.
Ambassador Nicolai Prytz emphasized that, in addition to economic values, the Danish business community is committed to bringing bilateral, comprehensive and sustainable benefits, as well as training and job creation opportunities for the local people. The Ambassador also proposed cooperation in other areas where Denmark have strong expertise, such as culture, research technology, and education.
Appreciating the proposals from the Ambassador, Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh affirmed that the relationship between Vietnam - Denmark as well as between Hanoi and Danish localities over the past time has developed comprehensively in many areas, including: diplomacy, economy, agriculture, innovation... Regarding these proposals, the Chairman of the City People's Committee affirmed that he would assign focal points to research and implement specific cooperation in areas of mutual interest. Hanoi, on the other hand, is willing to coordinate with the Danish Embassy to facilitate diplomatic and cultural events on the occasion of the anniversary of the two countries' relations.
Discussing more about potential cooperation in the coming time, Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh mentioned the General Plan of the Capital until 2030 stipulating the goal of turning Hanoi into a green, civilized and modern urban city, expecting the Danish side to actively exchange experiences in this field. Appreciating the contribution of Danish businesses to Hanoi over the past time, the Chairman of the City People's Committee wishes the two sides will continue to promote more cooperation in the coming time.
