Hanoi leader inspects COVID-19 prevention work in Thuong Tin District (21:31 22/02/2021)


HNP - A delegation led by Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee and Chairman of the municipal People’s Council Nguyen Ngoc Tuan inspected the enforcement of COVID-19 prevention and control regulations in Thuong Tin district on February 20.

Joining the delegation were Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen and leaders of some relevant departments and sectors.

 

According to Chairman of the district People’s Committee Kieu Xuan Huy, the locality has reported no locally transmitted cases of COVID-19 so far. The local authorities have identified 10 people who were exposed to infected cases (F1), 433 ones in close contact with F1 (F2) and 399 others in close contact with F2 (F3). As of February 19, 379 cases were tested for coronavirus, of them, 285 obtained negative results and the rest are pending.
 
Over the past time, the district has increased communication activities and encouraged local residents to follow the Health Ministry’s 5K message and anti-COVID-19 measures. 
 
The local task forces have conducted short notice  inspections in super markets, clinics and facilities with catering services. 
 
Thuong Tin has activated 1,224 community-based monitoring teams to check the disease prevention work in all households.
 
Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen lauded the district’s effort in responding to the different development of the pandemic. 
 
Regarding socioeconomic development, Quyen urged the local authorities to focus on realizing the dual task of fighting the coronavirus and boosting socio-economic development in association with building new style rural areas. 
 
Concluding the working session, Chairman of the municipal People’s Council Nguyen Ngoc Tuan praised Thuong Tin administration for their drastic engagement in preventing the spread of the virus.
He asked the district to be on high alert to COVID-19 prevention as the evolution of the pandemic is still complicated.
 
The locals are advised to strictly implemented the 5K (in Vietnamese) message: khau trang (facemask), khu khuan (disinfection), khoang cach (distance), khong tu tap (no gathering) and khai bao y te (health declaration).
 
Tuan requested for strictly handling COVID-19 rule violators, especially those making dishonest medical declarations. 
 
In addition to carrying out the dual task, Thuong Tin needs to pay special attention to thoughtful preparations for the upcoming elections of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 tenure, the official noted.
 
Acknowledging the leader’s instructions, Secretary of the district Party Committee Nguyen Tien Minh said that Thuong Tin administration would stay united and exert every effort to fulfill the set targets, and build Thuong Tin into a civilized and prosperous district.
